The Hispanic Center in collaboration with the art galleries Art & Frame and The Mercurial, invite the community to particpate in a 3 event series of art displays to benefit the Hispanic Center of Greater Danbury. Come and see the work of various local artists at 3 different venues, in 3 different weekends! Join us in one or in all of these events and enjoy an evening of art and friends!

Join us Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 at 5:00 pm, for a cocktail reception benefiting the Hispanic Center of Greater Danbury at the law offices of Ventura, Ribeiro and Smith at 235 Main Street, Danbury. There is ample parking in the lot behind Ventura, Ribeiro and Smith office (on Ives Street).

Danbury's newest Community Garden bacame a reality thanks to the Trust for Public Land and partners. Located in the back of the Hispanic Center of Greater Danbury, the community garden is a place for different members of the community to grow their own vegetables and care for its little piece of land.

Children and young adults of all ages enjoyed the process of making the garden and have already harvested its vegetables. Please check the videos below for a cinematographic testimony of this amazing project, that shows how interagency collaboration and community support come together to make dreams a reality!
