AmeriCorps Collegiate Development Program

The AmeriCorps Collegiate Development Program will focus on college readiness preparation and leadership development for minority and Hispanic/Latino youth in the greater Danbury area. There are three portions of the program:

1. Individual College Mentoring;

2. Youth Leadership Development / Service Learning, and

3. Community/Family Engagement.

The main goal of these programs is to increase the number of minority students going on to higher education in the Greater Danbury Area. The program will support students by providing individual college mentoring and a youth leadership development after school program. The program will support them through every step of the college admission process and develop their leadership skills for the future. Members will work with high school students in leadership development and mentoring.
