From his native Dominican Republic, to the United States, to Brazil, and back, Luis Reyes, owner of Amigo’s Deli & Minas Carnes, continues to unite diverse groups of people around a single mantra: serve hearty and delicious meals in a friendly and welcoming environment for everybody to enjoy and share. The Taste of Danbury, renown for offering delicious food from across the world, will host its first Latino businesses on September 12th and 13th at City Center Danbury on the green.
The family owned and operated businesses of Mr. Reyes represent nearly twenty years of service to the greater Danbury community as they’ve become local favorites for working men, city officials, professionals, and visitors alike. “Bridging communities through food” says Mr. Reyes has been the secret to his continued success. This year’s Taste of Danbury will be no different as both businesses will display the best Latin America has to offer. From delectable Brazilian pastries and empanadas to mouth watering plates of rice, beans, and chicken and Latino classics such as the “Cubano” sandwich, Amigo’s Deli and Minas Carne will have a little something for everyone!
About Amigo’s Deli and Groceries:
As one of the first quick service Latino establishments in the greater Danbury area, Amigo’s Deli opened its doors in 1991 to a growing immigrant community. We began with a simple goal: to offer quality ingredients and unforgettable service. We invite you to come in and become a member of our family. Amigo’s guarantees the freshest food in an authentic relaxed environment that welcomes one and all.
